Sulfuric Acid
Extremely pure sulphuric acid has been produced for decades at the Pischelsdorf plant – in quantities that have allowed us to become the market leader in Austria, with the latest double catalysis technology and facilities that guarantee the highest level of environmental protection.
The waste heat from the sulphuric acid is converted into electricity by a steam turbine, which has a low impact on the environment.
This measure reduces CO2 emissions from coal-fired power plants by some 43,000 tonnes each year while at the same time minimising the consumption of cooling water and the noise level of the plant.
