Caustic Soda

Caustic soda a solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in water is one of the most important basic chemicals for industrial applications. We produce it using a modern membrane process—efficiently, sustainably, and with consistently high quality. The result: a versatile raw material that our customers can rely on every day. As a manufacturer of sodium hydroxide, we possess comprehensive expertise in production, quality assurance, and application.

Our caustic soda meets the requirements of a wide variety of industrial processes. It is used, among other things, in the chemical, paper, and pulp industries, in aluminum production, and in a variety of processing and cleaning processes.

Thanks to our in-house production, technical expertise, and close coordination with our customers, we offer solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into existing processes.

Caustic soda flakes

In addition, caustic soda in solid form is available for applications with specific requirements. Caustic soda flakes are easy to dose, very hygroscopic and dissolve quickly in water under strong heating to form caustic soda. Donau Chemie offers caustic soda in the form of flakes with an NaOH content of around 98 percent in different qualities.
